Premium Solar Panel Installation for Your Burnley Home
Complete residential solar panel installations from 2kW to 12kW+ using tier-one panels from SunPower, Trina, and JA Solar.
Every Energy Luxe solar system is designed around your home’s specific roof orientation, shading patterns, and energy consumption. We use tier-one panels from manufacturers like SunPower, Trina, and JA Solar — because quality components mean reliable performance for decades, not just the first few years.
Our in-house team handles everything from scaffolding to grid connection notification, typically completing installations in one to two days. There are no subcontractors involved at any stage — the engineers who survey your home are the same people who install your system.
How Much Can You Save with Solar Panels in Burnley?
The amount you save depends on your system size, energy usage, and how much solar generation you consume directly versus exporting to the grid. Here’s what typical Burnley homeowners see:
A standard 3–4kW system on a south-facing roof generates approximately 3,200–4,200 kWh per year. At current grid electricity rates of around 28p per kWh, that’s a potential saving of up to £1,176 per year — before accounting for Smart Export Guarantee earnings on surplus energy.
Adding battery storage increases self-consumption from around 40% to over 80%, meaning even more of that free solar electricity powers your home rather than being exported at a fraction of the grid rate.
What Panels Do We Install?
We exclusively use tier-one solar panels — the top 2% of manufacturers worldwide, rated by independent financial analysts for bankability, manufacturing quality, and long-term reliability:
- SunPower Maxeon — industry-leading efficiency (22.8%), 40-year warranty, interdigitated back-contact (IBC) cell technology
- Trina Solar Vertex S — excellent value-to-performance ratio, 25-year product warranty, half-cut monocrystalline PERC cells
- JA Solar DeepBlue — consistent quality, strong European market track record, 25-year linear power output warranty
The choice of panel depends on your roof space, budget, and aesthetic preferences. We’ll recommend the best option during your survey and explain exactly why.
The Installation Process
Step 1: Free Home Survey
A qualified Energy Luxe engineer visits your home to assess roof orientation and pitch angle, shading analysis using specialist software, current electricity consumption from your bills, available roof space and structural condition, and consumer unit capacity for solar connection.
This survey is completely free with no obligation. We won’t pressure you — just honest data.
Step 2: Custom System Design
Using real Burnley solar irradiance data (approximately 950–1,050 kWh/m² annually), we design a system matched to your home. Your quote includes exact panel placement diagrams, realistic generation estimates based on local weather data, honest payback period calculation using your actual energy costs, Smart Export Guarantee earning projections, and a full breakdown of costs with no hidden extras.
Step 3: Professional Installation
Our employed electricians and roofers arrive on the agreed date with all equipment. A typical residential installation takes one to two days and includes scaffold erection and safe roof access, mounting rail installation on your existing roof structure, panel placement and electrical wiring, inverter installation and connection to your consumer unit, and DNO notification submission (required for grid-connected systems).
Step 4: Commissioning and Aftercare
Once installed, we commission your system, set up the monitoring app on your phone, and submit your MCS certificate. We also help you apply for the Smart Export Guarantee — the government scheme that pays you for every unit of electricity you export to the grid.
Our aftercare doesn’t end there. You get a direct phone line to our team for any questions, system checks, or upgrades. No call centres, no ticket systems — just real people who know your installation.
0% VAT on Residential Solar
Under current government policy, residential solar panel installations are zero-rated for VAT. This means the price we quote is the price you pay — no surprise 20% addition at the end. This policy applies to systems installed on or within the curtilage of a residential property.
MCS Certification: Why It Matters
MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is the quality assurance standard for renewable energy installations in the UK. Energy Luxe holds full MCS certification, which means:
- Your installation meets the highest safety and quality standards
- You qualify for the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) to earn money from exported electricity
- Your system is registered on the national database for insurance and resale purposes
- Consumer protection through the RECC code of practice
Without MCS certification, you cannot access SEG payments — and your installation may not be covered by standard home insurance policies.

Customer Reviews
What Customers Say
"We had three companies quote us. Energy Luxe were the only ones who actually looked at our electricity bills rather than guessing. Eight months in, our energy bill has dropped from £185 a month to £40."
